These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ParentingHealthTips and its courses, accounts, and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must have reached the age of majority in your province or country to create an account or make a purchase. The Services are intended for parents and other adults.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and verify your email address to activate your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend accounts to protect security.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share, resell, sublicense, or publicly distribute course content or your account access.
  • Copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Services except as allowed by law.
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Services.
  • Use the Services to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.

4. Courses and licence

When you enrol in or purchase a course, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access that course for your own learning for as long as it remains available. Certificates recognise completion and are not accredited qualifications unless expressly stated.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Services — text, courses, lessons, quizzes, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by us or our instructors and licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the licence above, no rights are granted to you.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (for example contact messages, profile details, and quiz answers). You grant us a licence to use that content as needed to operate and improve the Services. You are responsible for the content you submit.

7. Payments

  • Paid courses are sold as one-time purchases (not recurring subscriptions) and processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in the stated currency and may be subject to applicable taxes.
  • By purchasing, you authorise the charge and confirm the payment details are yours.
  • Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. AI Learning Assistant

The AI Learning Assistant provides automated, general study help. It can be inaccurate or incomplete, does not represent professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such. Do not enter sensitive information you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider.

9. Health & informational disclaimer

Our content is for general information and education only and is not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare or other professional who knows your family's circumstances. Always seek professional guidance for health, developmental, or safety concerns, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

10. Service availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services, including courses and features, at any time. We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our instructors, suppliers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the course giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts located in Alberta, Canada, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
