This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the payment terms for courses purchased from ParentingHealthTips, when you can cancel or get a refund, and how to request one. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Payment terms

  • Paid courses are one-time purchases (not recurring subscriptions). You pay once for access to a course.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in the stated currency and may include applicable taxes.
  • Free courses involve no payment and are not covered by the refund sections below.

2. Cancelling before you buy

You can cancel a checkout at any time before payment is confirmed — simply close or cancel the Stripe checkout page. Nothing is charged unless the payment completes and you receive access.

3. Refund eligibility

Because courses are digital content you can access immediately, refunds are limited. You may request a refund if all of the following apply:

  • You request it within 14 days of purchase; and
  • You have completed no more than 25% of the course; and
  • You have not been issued a certificate for the course.

4. Non-refundable situations

  • Requests made after the 14-day window.
  • Courses completed beyond 25%, or for which a certificate has been issued.
  • Free courses and any items described as non-refundable or final sale at purchase.
  • Promotional, discounted, or gifted access, unless required by law.

5. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and include:

  • Your name and account email;
  • The course name and order/receipt reference; and
  • The reason for your request.

6. Review and refund timeframes

  • We review requests within about 5 business days and let you know the outcome.
  • Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe.
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it typically takes 5–10 business days for the refund to appear after we process it.

7. Effect of a refund

When a refund is issued, your access to the refunded course is revoked and any related enrolment is removed. Certificates issued for a refunded course are void.

8. Chargebacks

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first — we are happy to help. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in your access being suspended while the dispute is resolved.

9. Your statutory rights

This Policy is in addition to any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, including in Alberta and elsewhere in Canada. If you are in the EU/UK, statutory withdrawal rights for digital content may not apply once you have started accessing a course with your consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right to withdraw. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
